What akin is today

akin has not launched yet. This site describes the product we are building and lets you join a waitlist for early access. Joining does not guarantee access, a launch date, or any particular feature.

The Pitch It section is a demonstration. Nothing you type into it is saved or sent to us, and pressing “Post project” does not publish anything.

Who can join

You must be at least 13 years old to join the waitlist.

Using the site fairly

Sign up only with an email address you are entitled to use. Do not:

• Sign up other people without their permission.
• Submit signups automatically or in bulk.
• Try to get around the limits on how often the form can be submitted.
• Probe, overload, or disrupt the site or the systems behind it.

Our content

The text, design, akin name and wordmark, and illustrations on this site belong to Half Baked Ventures LLC. You may not copy or reuse them without our permission, except as the law allows.

Names in our examples

Examples on this site name real artists, performers, shows, and works to illustrate the kinds of projects people might pitch. These references do not mean that any of them, or anyone who represents them, is affiliated with, sponsors, or endorses us. Their names and trademarks belong to their owners.

No warranties

The site and the waitlist are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the site will always be available or free of errors.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, Half Baked Ventures LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or the waitlist, and our total liability for any claim about them is limited to one hundred US dollars.

Leaving the waitlist

You can leave the waitlist at any time by emailing us. We may remove an entry, or close the waitlist, at any time, including when we believe an entry breaks these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and update the date at the top, and continuing to use the site after that means you accept the update.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about them will be decided by the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the consumer protection laws where you live.
